The next morning we set out again at 5:30, just after sunrise. There was a call on the radio from Ross to say that there were two hyenas at Social Point (which we were now calling “Facebook”). I thought that there was no way we would get close to them but I was wrong. We arrived at the sighting only to find these two incredible animals laying out in the open, completely relaxed.I switched off my engine and free wheeled down to them. They didn’t budge.I was chuffed. This was a photographic opportunity of note! Cameras out and shutters fired away rapidly. We probably took over 100 pics. The contrast was amazing with the green green grass and golden light.
