Your Favourite 5 Star African Retreat

It‘s wild. It’s wonderful. And it’s what we do best!
At Nambiti Hills, we pride ourselves on a number of things: 5 star luxury and comfort in the heart of nature; world class hospitality to pamper your senses and replenish your mind, body and soul; cuisine to drool over; and of course, a landscape filled with the beauty of wild Africa.

Every day we get to see the smiles on our guests’ faces as they venture out of their luxury suites well-rested and ready for the day, as they enjoy a refreshing breakfast, high tea fit for a king or a gourmet 3-course dinner; we hear cameras clicking and excitable banter on game drives, and we listen proudly as they recall their adventures from the day while mingling with fellow guests around the boma.

But nothing gives us more pleasure than when we read the reviews of these guests, and see just how much of an impression the magic of Nambiti Hills has made on them. Satisfied guests from around the world have shared their thoughts on why Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge is their favourite African escape.

Here are some recent reviews that we are extremely proud to share with you.

An Unforgettable Valentine’s Getaway

Melissa & her husband
Melissa Mitchell planned a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway with her husband, at Nambiti Hills. She wrote in to tell us about her stay, and we thought we’d share it with you:

“I was on Google checking for getaways when the Nambiti ad appeared. I decided to choose the safari experience – something my husband and I have always wanted to do. From the moment we got there, what stood out the most were the ‘people’. They were so helpful, accommodating and professional.

When we arrived at the lodge that afternoon, the team was waiting to welcome us with drinks in hand. We loved that. In the distance, we could see the beautiful view through the entrance. Our first activity was the game drives – amazing! Just amazing! Our ranger was Kingsley. He really impressed my husband and I with his vast knowledge of the area and all its landmarks. I remember one guest asking an arb question about the type of grass that animals eat and I was so surprised to hear Kingsley provide such in-depth details about it.

What stood out for us was that the game drives weren’t just an endless rambling journey with no direction. Kingsley took the time to drive to the best locations and even ensured that we get beautiful shots of the wildlife at sunset. He also asked us what we would like to see instead of just driving around. My husband and I especially enjoyed the sundowners and loved the soft ponchos on the game drive that kept us warm as it got chilly.

The lodge went above and beyond to make Valentine’s Day really special for us. Needless to say, the meals were absolutely delicious. What really caught our attention were the little heart cookies that were nicely hung on a tree for the Valentines Day sundowner stop off. The room drops were also such a nice touch. We even had amazing turn downs (chocolates, Valentine’s Day postcards and petals) on the bed as we got to our warm rooms after the cold game drive. I really loved the heated towel rails – everything was pure perfection. Add to that the views which were gorgeous beyond words – and you get the perfect Valentine’s getaway. Thank you for this amazing, luxurious and beautiful romantic getaway, Nambiti Hills.”

We welcome you to become a part of our story by sharing yours with us.

The great ‘family’ escape!

We recently received a letter from a special guest, Sean Martin, who really enjoyed his stay with us. Here is an account of his experience:

“We decided to take our family holiday to Nambiti Hills. My wife and two teenage sons were really excited and from the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the cosiness and intimate feeling that the lodge exudes. My wife loved the special welcome we received. The staff come out to meet us and had drinks in hand. The food was amazing! What stands out for me is ordering a specific starter, being told I could take a second! I really loved that because it gave me the opportunity to sample the menu quite a bit, and I am quite a foodie, you see. The scenery was breath-taking. Our rooms were beautiful and set the ambience for a relaxing family holiday!
Since there was much talk about the games drives, we went on all of them. Needless to say, they were ‘unbelievable.’ I got to see the Big 4 as the leopard could not be spotted. The rhino, buffalo and the lion sightings blew us away. On our first game drive, we drove through a herd of elephants, which was absolutely amazing. I felt afraid and excited all at the same time, being so close to these wonderful animals. What really struck me was the stories I had often heard about Rhino Conservation – but to actually see them in action was something else. We saw rangers walking around with rifles protecting the rhino, which was really fascinating. They are so dedicated to what they do! The game drives were fantastic and I especially loved the ponchos, which keep you warm from the wind and chill on the early morning drives. Reggie, the ranger who drove us around, was extremely impressive with his vast knowledge of the wildlife and layout of the reserve.
This was my first stay at Nambiti Hills, and the experience has by far given us the best memories. We would love to visit again soon.”

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Sean. We look forward to welcoming you back at our lodge.
